Located on the 36th floor of the Novotel Hotel, Sky Bar is not only one of Vietnam’s most ostentatious clubs but also Da Nang’s highest rooftop bar. This venue oozes sophistication and class. At the top floor expect to be served with astounding views. Brace yourself as Skybar is not just a club, but an entire experience! This triple storey club gives you a birds-eye view of the charming city below.  Allowing you a glance at the Han River and the Dragon Bridge mid-party. This massive venue has the capacity to host up to 600 guests. If you are looking for a venue to celebrate your bachelorette, birthday or even private party the Sky Bar is able to host you in their private rooftop event venue.

Sky36 Bar club is soundtracked with hip hop, deep house and EDM orchestrated by some of Da Nang’s top DJs. In the crowd expect to rub shoulders with some of Vietnam’s most elite. Prepare to lose yourself in the neon-lit fixtures and the impressively designed interior. Occasionally the club hosts some exorbitant themed party or throws a live performer into the mix, so it’s always a good idea to do some research on their Facebook page beforehand. This is not your average Vietnamese club so expect prices to be steep ranging from 90,000 VND (3.80 USD) for a soft drink to 360,000 VND (15 USD) for a cocktail.  It’s up to 7,900,000 VND (340 USD) for a 1.5L bottle of Moet.  

Nightlife at The Golden Pine Pub, Da Nang

If your recipe for a good nightlife consists of the following ingredients a cold beer, a pool table, shisha and a dance floor, then make your way to Golden Pine Pub in Da Nang. This legendary Da Nang pub quenches your thirst with its extensive range of spirits, beer and shots.  Beer priced from 45,000 VND (2 USD), cocktails from 100,000 VND (4.5 USD) and shisha from 350,000 VND (15 USD).

It may be referred to as a “Pub” but don’t let the pool tables and the “easy go lucky” attitude deceive you. This venue has an after dark alter ego that always has patrons dancing late into the night. This popular venue is normally packed with a diverse crowd of travellers, expats and locals every day of the week. With its broad range of music the pub has something for everybody – therefore no wonder it’s one of Da Nang’s favourites.

Located along the Han River on Bach Dang Street, the Golden Pine makes for the perfect place to go if you are planning on crawling back home. The pub isn’t very big, so it is best for small groups rather than mass outings. Check out their facebook page as this pub frequently has guest DJs to guide you through the night.

Nightlife at On The Radio Bar, Da Nang

If you fancy a night out where live music is the focus then head over to ‘On The Radio’ in the centre of Da Nang city, near the Han River. This venue is perfect for an ice-cold beer while enjoying live instrumentals till the early hours. Although quite sombre, at times everyone ends up dancing throughout the night to their favourite tunes, with the band just a few steps away.

Normally packed with friendly local millennials who truly live for music and late night entertainment, you will not be bored! From Monday to Friday the venue mostly plays contemporary music.  This usually includes a mushy love song or two, so good you may shed a tear! Saturdays are more upbeat as the sound switches to rock and all the regulars flock in. From 9.15.p.m. every night ‘On The Radio’ hosts a variety of bands from in and around the city. Often they open up the stage allowing anyone to come and showcase their musical talents.

Their food menu provides a variety of finger foods at 70,000 VND (3 USD) such as spring rolls, french fries and dried beef. Beers start at 55,000 VND (2.40 USD) for a draft Tiger and all cocktails are 100,000 VND (4.30 USD). Beer towers and 1000ml cocktail sharers are also available starting at a reasonable 390,000 VND (17 USD).

If a party in your mouth is more your vibe then surrender your taste buds to Wanderlust Cocktail Bar. Their deliciously mixed cocktails carry flavours that seemingly contain all the excitement one needs for a party. Wanderlust has been named ‘Da Nang’s first original cocktail bar’.  This is due to the fact it’s the birthplace to some of Da Nang’s most famous cocktails, compiled by the award-winning bartender and owner Tuan.

The general mood at Wanderlust is friendly, unpretentious yet indisputably cool, making it the perfect place to start the night off. The menu is made up of a long list of delectable cocktails with quirky names such as ‘Passion Chilli Peppers’ and ‘Devotion Potion’. If you get too overwhelmed by choice then try any of their divine signature cocktails. Fairly priced you can get a cocktail for anything between 95,000 VND (4 USD) and 120,000 VND (5 USD). 

If you get peckish, choose from their tasty selection of snacks such as fried Russian dumplings and citrus-marinated olives. Wanderlust maintains a classy aura evident in their aesthetically pleasing interior and well thought out playlist and occasional live music. So like every great bar, there’s a great backstory that contributed to its existence. This one is about a Vietnamese bartender who had a vision and an opportunity which he seized with both hands. He worked hard enough until he owned his own bar, making cocktails so good they put Da Nang on the map.

Phuong Dong Nightclub, Da Nang

Having existed for more than two decades there are multiple reasons people keep coming back to Phuong Dong Nightclub. This massive, 2000 – square metre multi-concept entertainment venue has the capacity to host over a 1000 people, making it Da Nang’s largest club. The crowd is busiest after midnight with expats and in-the-know locals, so dress to impress. The club has a lavish interior and seating arrangement that gives an elaborate touch to its entire ambience.

With a state-of-the-art sound system, there’s everything from EDM, disco, house, rock, jazz and funk.  In other words, a real treat to your ears. The light projections are mesmerising and create an ambience that confuses you into thinking you are in Vegas for a second. Then every night a unique music program is built, which includes performances by popular singers and DJs.

We wouldn’t recommend bringing your parents along as this debaucherous club is a little more famous for its anything-goes seductive gogo dancers than for its premium drinks and flashy dance floor. But if you have the cash to spare book a VIP table where you receive bottle service and snacks served by the highly professional staff.  While catching the best angles of the ‘Moulin Rouge-Esque’ performances. Phuong Dong Nightclub is definitely the mainstream destination for music lovers and hardcore nightlife partygoers in Da Nang. But expect prices to match, with beer starting at 120,000 VND (5 USD) and bottles of champagne from 600,000 VND (26 USD) plus a 15% service fee.
